If you’re an up and coming clothing line, you’ve had to have heard of the different trade shows and conventions to attend. Many things aren’t openly shared in the fashion industry, especially when it comes to manufacturing, but everyone knows about the trade shows. Even if all they know is that it’s the place to be…they still know. These events are great ways to I’ve put together a list of events that I would recommend attending to building your brand.

The Top 3 Targets For Any Brand…

1.StyleX Austin

StyleX is held in Austin at the South By Southwest (SXSW), an annual music, film, and interactive festival. StyleX is usually held at the end of the week wrapping up the music portion of the festival. I’m planning on attending the event this year, and have heard many good things about this creative inspiring aurora that embodies the atmosphere.

2.Agenda Trade Show

I was invited out to Agenda a few years back by the Akomplice crew, and I have to say it was a huge eye opener for me at the time. Looking back on the experience, it was awesome. I’d compare exhibiting at this show to being an artist and selling out Madison Square Garden. They hold the show twice a year, one out in Cali on the west coast and one on the east in New York.

3.Magic Marketplace

Magic is HUGE. That’s all there is to it. It’s held out in Vegas twice a year, and offers everything fashion. I flew out to this past February with BenQ and MJ, a few affiliates of the brand. It was our first times out in Vegas. I’m not going to lie the city got the best of us that trip, but we’ll be back for more next trip.

Other Events/Trade Shows I’d Recommend Looking Into…

PPAI Expo

This is the largest international promotional products trade show. This event is also held in Las Vegas around the middle of January. It’s a great outlet for networking and informing yourself to all industry offerings.

The NBM Show

This show is a more formal business environment, but offers some valuable exhibits, seminars and workshops all designed to help you grow your business.

ISS

When I think of ISS I think of in school suspension my high school days, but this is far from it. ISS stands for Imprinted Sportswear Show. They’ve been around for over 30 years and hold shows in 7 different locations throughout the year. They definitely need a redesign of their website, but this is one that you don’t want to overlook.
